NC Concealed Carry Class
Product Details
Successful completion of this class satisfies the State of North Carolina's firearms training requirement for obtaining a North Carolina Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP). You will need to submit your Certificate of Completion to your local sheriff's office as part of your application for a NC CHP.
Important: Please be sure you meet the State of North Carolina requirements to obtain a CHP before registering. Information on the requirements, as well as the application process, can be found here.
About the Instructor
The instructor for this class is Chuck Savage, of Savage Concealed Carry. Chuck has:
- 30 years of law enforcement experience
- 20 years of experience teaching firearms and concealed carry
His certifications include:
- North Carolina Justice Academy Certified Specialized Firearms Instructor
- North Carolina Justice Academy Certified Concealed Carry Instructor
- NRA Certified Pistol Instructor
- Certified Glock Armorer
- Certified AR-15 Armorer
Class Details
Where:
Red's Carolina Outfitters
3836 N Croatan Hwy, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949
Students will reconvene at the Outer Banks Gun Club in Manns Harbor after lunch to complete the shooting requirements.
When:
Class begins promptly at 8:00 AM. Please be on time. Students are encouraged to arrive at 7:45 AM.
The class is 8 hours, not including range time.
What to Bring:
- A handgun
- At least 30 rounds of ammunition
- Eye & ear protection
Chuck will have a student pistol, as well as eye & ear protection, that may be borrowed if needed.
What Not to Bring:
- No open-toe shoes, flip-flops, or sandals can be worn at the range.
